Roof Replacement Photo Album: Rescuing an Insurance Policy in New Braunfels, TX: The Forest Ridge Dr. Project
Ms. Turner at on Forest Ridge Dr (78130) was facing a situation that is becoming all too common for New Braunfels homeowners. Her roof was over 20 years old, and after a recent audit, her insurance company canceled her policy entirely. Without a new roof, her home was left unprotected and uninsurable—a stressful position for any property owner.
She contacted Klaus Roofing Systems of Texas Hill Country to help her navigate the path back to full protection. We performed a comprehensive inspection and confirmed that while the roof had served her well for two decades, it was no longer capable of meeting modern underwriting standards or protecting against the next Hill Country storm.
The "Klaus" Solution: Fortifying for the Next 50 Years We recommended a full Klaus Roofing System installation—a high-performance, fortified solution designed to withstand the unique weather challenges of the Texas Hill Country. To get Ms. Turner back in her insurance company’s good graces, we focused on:
Total Decking Inspection: On a 20-year-old roof, the wood beneath the shingles often needs attention. We ensured the "bones" of her home were solid and secure.
Storm-Ready Components: We used reinforced underlayment and high-performance shingles that exceed standard building codes.
A Warranty That Matters: We provided a 50-year warranty, which acted as a "stamp of approval" for her home’s long-term durability.
The Result: Not only does Forest Ridge Dr now have incredible curb appeal, but the new roof also provided the professional documentation Ms. Turner needed to secure a new insurance policy. She traded the stress of a canceled policy for the peace of mind that comes with a storm-resistant, long-lasting roofing system.
50 year NO LEAK warranty!

Asphalt Shingle Removal
The first step in the process is to remove the existing roofing material from the roof.
Fortify the Roof Deck
Once the old roof is removed, we back nail the entire roof deck and install seam tape to cover all the seams.
Install all New Underlayments
Once we have fortified the roof deck, we install ice and water barrier at the eaves, in the valleys, and around all roof penetrations. This includes any roof to wall terminals.

Now that the roof is 100% dried in, we install our drip edge metal, true purpose starter, and shingles.
